Balliang District, Vic

TREES PLANTED

Michelle and Margaret Kerr have been residents of the Balliang Distract for three generations.  They live on the north bank of the Little River, a couple of kilometres East of the Brisbane Ranges. Michelle and Margaret are both very active in the Landcare movement. The Kerr property is part of a major project “The Little River Project” funded jointly by Vision for Werribee Plains and Melbourne Water which has successfully fenced off and re-vegetated some 12 kilometres of Little River Frontage.

Supporters of Fifteen Trees has enabled another 55 trees to be planted along this river bank.

Many, many thanks to – Claire Coulson (15 trees), Sabina Crawley who bought 2 trees as a gift for Alison Rooney, Marlie Grant (15 trees), Janette Lansdown (15 trees) and Green Day Marketing (7 trees) plus I’ve dedicated 1 tree to Jane Corbet (my Facebook 100th liker).

Everyone is now busy preparing for planting season (which will pretty much run from now until early spring).

If you would like to support our rural communities to get more trees in the ground – NOW is the perfect time!

Slainte – Colleen
