Peter and Patsy Thompson from Thompson Family Funeral Directors in Castlemaine as been working with Fifteen Trees to help improve the native environment of the Central Highlands district of Victoria. The funeral home has one tree planted for every service and this year 120 trees have been planted in Maldon (Central Victoria).
Noel Muller from Maldon Urban Landcare writes, ‘Hi Colleen, ten members of Maldon Urban Landcare Group, Maldon Museum and the Maldon Men’s shed, recently held a planting day in Maldon. The plantings are part of a screening project for the Maldon Museum and the Men’s Shed. The day was very successful with the group enjoying the preparing and planting of the trees’.
Huge thank you to Peter and Patsy for enabling these tree to be planted in what looks like a beautiful region of Victoria.
Slainte – Colleen
