Happy heavenly birthday to Bee.

What has now become an annual tradition, Viv Phung asks us to purchase trees in loving memory of her daughter Bee. Last year we raised enough money to plant 66 trees for Bee, this year we were aiming for 100. We got to 140!

Trees for Bee (2022)

This February, Bee would have been 20 and it is now 3 years without her. As a tradition, I would like to celebrate this special month by planting trees in her name as a birthday gift.

Last year we planted 66 trees in her memory in West Gippsland and Mount Worth with support from family, friends and Fifteen Trees (see below).

This year as 20 is a very special number, I would like to have 100 trees planted in her name.

By planting trees you are not only helping us to spread Bee’s love around but also contributing to improve the environment to save our beautiful Australian native blue-banded bees which are under the threat.

Although Bee is no longer with me, I believe the trees will continue her life and love on Earth.  Thank you for being a part of this campaign.

The beautiful Bee.

We have planted Bee’s trees at Campbell’s Creek, VIC. This year the Friends of Campbell’s creek focused one of their restoration project on the Lower Lewis Wetland system and they were very appreciative of your support. This swampy area has delightful small billabongs as well as the main watercourse.

Over the years, we’ve greatly reduced the weed burden and established lots of native plants. We are aiming to return this little section of Campbell’s Creek back to its former glory.

Thank you everyone for funding the purchase of plants for the Friends of Campbells Creek Landcare Group.

Trees for Bee (2021)

Thank you to the following contributors; Viv Phung, Stephen Fitzmorgan, Dewanand and the Estrada-Rosenfeld Family. Togehter we raised enough funds to purchase and plant 66 trees for Bee. The trees went out to West Gippsland and the Mount Worth and District Landcare Group. Here the local landcare group are working towards the revegetation of steep land to protect it from land slips and erosion. They are also keen to revegetate to help improve populations of native animals such as the lyre bird and platypus. What a beautiful place for Bee’s trees.

‘Today Bee should have been 19. I would like to celebrate this special day by planting trees in her name as a special birthday gift. Although she is no longer with me on earth, I believe the trees will continue her life and spread her love all around. Love lives on and so does Bee. Let’s join me in planting trees in Bee’s and all our loved ones’ honour’.

Our hearts got out to Bee’s mother, family and friends. We are truly honoured to be helping Viv to raise funds to help plant trees as a memorial to her beautiful daughter Bee. Thank you for entrusting Fifteen Trees with this task.
