TREES PLANTED

‘Thank you to Ballarat businesses who have got behind ‘fifteen trees’. I have planted 60 native trees on the western boundary of my property. In a few years, they will provide shelter to the native birds and mammals that live in this area.’ I.JThe trees planted at the Janousek Property at Creswick were kindly paid for by Ballarat City Honda. New car owners Brumby, Toohey, Woodward and Daly all have a smaller carbon footprint thanks to Justin Krousoratis (dealership owner) and Damian Shackell (salesman extraordinaire). Thanks also must go to I.J. who has spent hours ensuring her trees are well planted with tree guards and mulch. With the fabulous winter rains this year, the trees have a terrific start. Now some sunshine will really get them shooting.Enjoy the long spring days – Colleen

‘Tree planting is about far more than restoring the landscape; it’s about bringing people together to care for the places we all value. Thank you for your generous support, and helping us to create healthy habitat for Tasmania’s unique wildlife such as the Tasy Devil’. Nel Smit.

Revegetating this area is helping to creating a habitat corridor along an existing creek bed. The planting will also minimise erosion, give a boost to biodiversity and also provide food for native creatures from small macro-invertebrates to our iconic platypus.
