Wodonga Plantings (Vic)

TREES PLANTED

Anne Stelling from the Wodonga Urban Landcare Network has worked hard to coordinate the planting of the 420 trees generosity donated to her group by Adam Gregor from G.J. Gardner Homes Wodonga. The trees went across 4 sites – David Winterbottom Park, Kent McKoy Reserve, Gordon Craig Park and along Felltimber Creek. Hard at work Anne writes .. Hi Colleen, We had a great day on Sunday 14th September at the Wodonga Transform-a-thon with 25 young Guides helping to remove weeds from David Winterbottom Park and plant out a rock garden in Kent McKoy Reserve. This planting used a proportion of the Fifteen Trees plants donated by G.J. Gardner; the remainder will be planted at Gordon Craig park and along Felltimber creek at another planting event in October. Many thanks for organizing these plants for our group, it is such a help to us to have a source of plants for volunteer groups to utilize. Second Guides shift planting Thank you Adam and the team at GJG for your assistance in getting these trees ‘in the ground’. Your trees have gone to a fabulous local group who will ensure they grow to cover the hills and dales of Wodonga. Slainte – Colleen
