Vaughan Springs, Vic.

TREES PLANTED

Twenty five members of the newly reformed Friends of Vaughan Springs gathered last Sunday (June 29th) to plant out a few hundred native trees and shrubs at their local community reserve.  The working bee and tree planting day was organised by Noel Muller, Ranger Team Leader of Northern Goldfields at Parks Victoria. Noel hopes that the day will encourage others in the community to join in to help look after the local environment. Vaughan trees 011   One hundred and fifty of the trees were very kindly donated by Kris Gill, Danny Breen and Alan Matthewson from G.J. Gardner Homes Macedon. G.J Gardner Homes (Victoria and Tasmania) are planting 15 trees for every new home built this year. That equates to 5355 trees going out to community groups (such as landcare and school groups) across the 2 states. An impressive company contribution.   A huge thank you to Kris, Danny and Alan from Noel and the team from Vaughan Springs. Slainte – Colleen
