West Marong (Vic)
TREES PLANTED
West Marong (over near Bendigo) was the site chosen for the 915 trees generosity donated by Danny Breen, Reanna Barnett and Kris Gill from G.J. Gardner Bendigo. This is an extension of the previous year’s plantings to join up with a wildlife corridor into a neighbouring project.
This completes a large section of revegetation along a previously fenced drainage line. Greg Ralton was again in charge of the project and prepared the site for planting.
A massive thank you to the team from GJG Bendigo. Not only did you pay for the trees for the West Marong Landcare Group, but you also headed out into the field to help plant. From what I hear, you planted 450 trees on the day. Impressive effort. What trees didn’t get ‘in the ground’ have subsequently been planted by the volunteers from the Landcare group.
