Student from Woady Yalaok. On Friday 26th July, it was National Tree Day at the Ross Creek Campus of Woady Yaloak Primary School. The school Junior Landcare Group were aiming to plant over 650 plants (trees and grasses) on their school reserve.  They wanted to attract wildlife and to help protect the vulnerable Growling Grass Frog, which lives in their wetland reserve.   The Growling Grass frog. With the support of  G.J. Gardner Homes Ballarat, local primary school students from St Francis Xavier planted 180 native trees on their school grounds. Sustainability Teacher, Sarah Page coordinated the day which coincided with National Tree Day. Throughout the day, students came out of their class rooms to plant a tree. I met up with Ross Morley (Managing Director of G.J. Gardner Homes) at the Business Congress in Melbourne last August and instantly begun to sell my wares! Ross, politely showed some interest and 4 months later I was sitting in his office and we were in discussions on how G.J. Gardner and Fifteen Trees could work together. Fast forward another few months, and the first  GJG trees have been planted. [...]
