The nationally endangered South-eastern Black Cockatoo feeds almost exclusively on the seeds of Brown Stringybark, Desert Stringybark and Buloke.  The ongoing decline in quality and quantity of food resources has been identified as a major threat to the cockatoo. Some happy tree planters. Hi Colleen, The planting site for the trees (60) was at Brenda Park Wetland, 35km upstream from Blanchetown and 5km downstream from Morgan. Six members of the River Murray Youth Council Upper Murray and two representatives from G. J. Gardner Homes Riverland pitched in to get the 60 trees into the ground.
