Angus and Celeste are long time supporters of our tree planting projects. To date, they have helped us plant 2475 trees across Australia. This month, we planted another 375 trees on their behalf. This brand is adorable! It consists of handmade ceramics with strong themes connected to nature. Located in the hills of Victoria, Angus and Celeste purchase 100 trees every quarter for our community tree planting projects. If you would like to learn more about Asha and Keir, the couple behind the brand, we recently interviewed them and wrote up this article.
The trees were planted by the newly formed Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation Group. This group are revegetating a few hectares of land in Arthur’s Seat State Park, VIC. which is part of a biolink project on the Mornington Peninsula. A vital part of their efforts is to preserve and protect the wild koala population that live there.
In 2018, we founded the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation project. We are part of the Mornington Peninsula Landcare Network (MPLN), a body representing the 12 Landcare groups on the Mornington Peninsula. Our group seeks to address the issue of landscape connectivity and aims to reconnect patches of remnant bushland through biolinks (land developed for biodiversity conservation).
This year we are planting close to 1,000 plants in Arthurs Seat State Park on Shire land on the behalf of Fifteen Trees and their supporters. Thank you Angus and Celeste for your invaluable contribution of 375 trees.
