TREES PLANTED

G. J. Gardner Homes has been supporting our native environment (through Fifteen Trees) since 2013 and has helped us plant well over 34,000 trees across Victoria and Tasmania. For every new home built, Fifteen Trees organises the planting of 15 trees in the local district. This year, the project will see over 8,500 trees planted by schools, landcare and various environmental groups.

The partnership with Fifteen Trees allows GJG teams to go into the field for some team building activities as well as help support the local community through their corporate social responsibility policies.

Ashley and Sally Heard from G. J. Gardner Homes Ararat are generous supporters of local community groups and their tree planting projects. This year, Ashley and Sally purchased 255 trees for the Upper Hopkins Land Management Group and the Ararat Reserve.

The Astbury family, along with Bernie Heard helped me and my boys plant the trees over a couple of hours. Planting a shelter belt at the North end of the reserve. Our farm (Tucker Farms) donated the special ERA guards for the red flowering ironbarks surrounding the oval. Thank you to G. J. Gardner Ararat for the generous donation of the trees for this project.

Tasman Cottage already gives you a chance to reconnect with nature, yet its manager Nick has taken an important next step. He recently purchased 150 trees in collaboration with us here at Fifteen Trees, an action which ensures vital habitat for our native fauna, such as the unique Tassie Devil.
