Blue Mountains Eco Tours is a friendly, family run boutique tour operator providing day trips into the beautiful and scenic, Blue Mountains National Park, near Sydney Australia. Their speciality is operating luxury tours with small groups. Owners of the company, Paul and Jenny Hartmann, annually donate to Fifteen Trees to reduce the carbon footprint of their work vehicles. This year, we have planted 45 trees for their three cars.
The trees have gone to Karla Rutherford, environmental office with the Baw Baw Shire, who along with a host of volunteers, planted the trees (45) at Brooker Park, Victoria. Scroll to the bottom to find the link to a great video from the day.
Karla writes …
Please find attached a photo of Baw Baw Shire’s National Tree Day event at Brooker Park, Warragul on Sunday 30th July. Funds from Fifteen Trees were used to continue restoration works along Hazel Creek. In total 1030 plants were installed by community volunteers, 300 of which were supplied by supporters of Fifteen Trees. A combination of trees, shrubs and grasses were installed to replicate the vegetation type that previously occurred at the site. A total of 53 volunteers participated on the day, making a significant contribution to improving the local environment.
Massive thank you to Blue Mountains Eco Tours and your support of Fifteen Trees, and in turn … us!
