With the support of G.J. Gardner Homes Ballarat, local primary school students from St Francis Xavier planted 180 native trees on their school grounds. Sustainability Teacher, Sarah Page coordinated the day which coincided with National Tree Day. Throughout the day, students came out of their class rooms to plant a tree. Sarah started with a ‘how to plant a tree’ session and with lots of parents on hand to help, all trees were in the ground by the end of the day.

A huge thank you to Rob and his team from the Ballarat office who worked tirelessly all day to provide some much needed muscle to the proceedings. G.J. Gardener Homes in Victoria and Tasmania has committed to pay for 8,000 trees this calender year. These 180 are just a start.

WPA acknowledges that when it comes to environmental initiatives, its people are its strength. It has recently partnered with us to plant 15 trees for each hard-working staff member identified as a Sustainability Warrior.
Tasman Cottage already gives you a chance to reconnect with nature, yet its manager Nick has taken an important next step. He recently purchased 150 trees in collaboration with us here at Fifteen Trees, an action which ensures vital habitat for our native fauna, such as the unique Tassie Devil.
