A Roadside Planting at Buninyong, Victoria.

TREES PLANTED

I met up with Ross Morley (Managing Director of G.J. Gardner Homes) at the Business Congress in Melbourne last August and instantly begun to sell my wares! Ross, politely showed some interest and 4 months later I was sitting in his office and we were in discussions on how G.J. Gardner and Fifteen Trees could work together. Fast forward another few months, and the first  GJG trees have been planted.

Fifteen Trees will be planting 15 trees for every new GJG home across Victoria and Tasmania. All up around 8,000 trees ! That is a huge commitment from Ross, and one that shows leadership and commitment to our local communities and environment.

The first lot of trees (300) have recently been planted in Buninyong (just south of Ballarat). Allison writes “We had a big plant on Thursday with Rob & Cam (from G.J.Gardner Ballarat) and just missed the rain which was terrific. We certainly had an efficient system in place, sped up with the threat of rain. The plantings look absolutely fantastic! A huge thank you to you, Colleen, for your assistance and support in what we believe to be a wonderful cause where everyone is a winner! Good on you!” .

Huge job getting rid of the gorse and blackberry before planting could even begin.

Of course, thanks to Rob McMaster for his willingness to help out with the planting and Ross Morley for his willingness to join up with me in getting some trees planted.
