Gearing up for a great planting session.

Things are beginning to get busy here at Fifteen Trees with Landcare groups contacting me in regards to getting some trees for their projects. I have had calls from groups all over Victoria including Swanpool, Mt Alexander, Leigh Creek and Shoreham. At this stage, I can accommodate all requests and are happy to use a variety of well established nurseries such as SKINC, A & B Trees in Heathcote, Park Lane Nursery in Wangaratta plus our local favourites at Creswick and Haddon.  Some Landcare groups have even sent in aerial photographs of where they intend to plant.

To date, Fifteen Trees have promised to help plant 4000 plants this year, mostly in rural Victoria, but some of our trees will be planted as far away as Lake Macquarie in NSW.

I have been truly lucky to find myself with a willing photographer and friend (Lesley Costley-Gray) who has been snapping photos of trees in the Ballarat region. I have been using her images on the website, blog, advertising materials and publications.  I’ve been trying to get Lesley to start up her own blog with examples of her work and I will include a link if I can persuade her! In the meantime, I will continue to publish her gorgeous photos here.

I think it is going to be a terrific planting season if the Autumn rains are any indication. A huge thank you to all those individuals and companies (listed on the supporters page above) who have carbon offset their cars to ensure our Landcare groups have trees to plant.Have a lovely Easter.Cheers – Colleen[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
